Hobbybrew 30/70 Mixed Beverage Gas Cylinder
Hobbybrew 30/70 is a professional food-grade beverage gas containing 30% carbon dioxide and 70% nitrogen. The nitrogen-rich mixture creates a smooth, controlled dispense with small bubbles, a tight creamy head and the distinctive cascading effect associated with traditional draught beers.
It is particularly suited to stouts, bitters, porters and traditional ales where a softer carbonation level and velvety mouthfeel are preferred. Compared with pure carbon dioxide, 30/70 produces less aggressive carbonation and a denser, longer-lasting head.
The Hobbybrew rent-free cylinder scheme is ideal for home bars, microbreweries, mobile bars, cafés, clubs and smaller hospitality businesses that want professional beverage gas without ongoing cylinder-rental charges. Customers normally pay a one-off refundable cylinder deposit and then purchase replacement gas fills as required, subject to the supplying agent’s terms.

Safety information
This cylinder contains compressed gas at high pressure. Keep it upright and securely restrained during storage and use. Operate it only in a well-ventilated area, away from heat, flames, impact and unauthorised interference. Carbon dioxide and nitrogen can both displace oxygen and create an asphyxiation hazard in enclosed spaces.
Do not modify the valve, use damaged equipment or attempt to refill the cylinder yourself. Installation and operation should follow the regulator manufacturer’s instructions and Hobbybrew’s current product and safety documentation.
Cylinder deposits, refill prices and local availability vary between authorised Hobbybrew agents.
